I am a first year PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania in the Francophone, Italian, and German Studies (FIGS) department, Germanic Studies section; specifically interested in Memory Culture, the history of Jews in Germany, and the contemporary right-wing rise in German-speaking Europe.
In 2024-2026 I lived in Plauen, DE completing a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship and an Foreign Language Assistantship with the Pädagogische Austauschdienst under the auspices of the Kultusminister Konferenz between the BSZ Anne Frank and the Lessing-Gymnasium.
I attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN for my BA in Heritage & Museum Studies, German Studies, and a minor in International Affairs.
I am an alumni of the Verband der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Clubs Federation Scholarship, and participated in the program in Bamberg, Germany in the 2021-2022 academic year.
My studies have taken me all around, but I have found myself coming back to the Minnesota summer to work at the Concordia Language Villages, specifically the German language village, Waldsee.
In the Spring semester of 2023, I completed a General Museum Internship at the Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County in the Hjemkomst Center and an internship in tandem with the German program at Concordia College with the Concordia Language Villages.
